Lecithin plant is a natural extension of our existing
operations in Simran Agritech, being a by product in oil
extraction. The plant has a capacity to process 50 MT
crude oil on daily basis and has adopted best-in-class
heating, drying and degumming process technology. Over the
years Lecithin has become a crucial material for multiple
manufacturing industries. Manufacturers are keener towards
lecithin, which is a versatile emulsifier, dispersing
agent, antioxidant and flavor enhancer that may be used in
a variety of food applications.
At Lecithin plant, we adopt water degumming process
wherein a calculated amount of water, at around 90 degrees
temp is added to crude oil to hydrate phosphatides. Wet
gums generated from water de-gumming plant are
continuously collected in the inter gum tank, which is
constructed out of mild steel. For proper homogenization
of the wet gums, these are conveyed to a habituation tank
through a positive displacement pump. Finally, these wet
gums are then fed to a high speed mixer.
The hydrated phosphatides become denser and oil-insoluble
creating a sludge. The created sludge is separated through
a centrifugal process. The moisture free phosphatides
(Lecithin) are then transferred to another heat exchanger
where the products are cooled. The cooled products are
then transferred to blending/ conditioning tanks where the
product is standardised before packing. Our facility
offers customers product quality assurance, as well as a
range of packaging options in bulk trucks, totes and
drums.
